Hello Hugh,I'm a seasoned/professional bassist that has made playing bass guitar my living my entire life. While I have been blessed to work with some of what I feel are the best artist/musicians/players in the business,I have to say that yourself & Will Lee have been an inspiration my entire career. I've always taken pride in hopes of the fact that whatever the gig Im asked to take on,I can do it-versatility. I instill this in my students. I use yourself as an example. Thank You for what you bring to the table in the way of knowledge,capabilities in your field & the fact that you always come across as a nice human being who is grateful for the opportunities you have had before you. You know, Bon Jovi's 7800° Fahrentheit album wouldn't be that bad if you had played on it!! It is nice to know you have played in all Bon Jovi's albums in all songs except for 7800° Fahrenheit. why don't you do a "Bass Solo" album?? it would be awesome to hear a bass solos compilation. Sorry about that :) I agree with most people here that you should be made an official band member. You are an integral part of the band and should be recognised as such. Why have the band left you out ? . I donīt like to see that you are not with them when they receive an award. I think you have given to the band a lot of talent. the fans of bon jovi know that you are in the band but what about those that arenīt fans. It would be simple if you join the band officially, you should do it for the fans, the fans want you in the photos of the albums, because bon jovi is incomplete without you. I would not like to see bon jovi without hugh mcdonald in the hall of fame of rock and roll, hugh must be in the hall of fame of rock with bon jovi.

Hey Hugh, nice page and nice bass player you are. I actually love more the bass lines in bon jovi than listening to the other members of the band. It sucks when Jon left you out from the publicity and from the media. You are a real band member and Jon is very selfish and stupid to leave you out. You are the soul of Bon Jovi and you are much better than Alec, that is for sure. Blessings and good 2011... I will try to put in bon jovi facebook the request to make you a band member....
